Channelkirk & Lauder Church Choir

Channelkirk and Lauder Church now has a choir run by our organist, Mary Shields. We are a small but dedicated group who sing each Sunday in Lauder Church. We meet for practice every Friday at 4pm in Lauder Church when we sing the hymns for the Sunday service, concentrating particularly on any new music that the congregation may not know well.

On Sunday 27th November we sang for the first time in Channelkirk at the Advent Carol Service when we sang a lovely advent carol, ‘Comfort, comfort now my people’, in 3 parts. The congregation seemed to appreciate our singing and we were rewarded with mulled wine and mince pies!

We are all enthusiastic amateur singers, but singing praise together and supporting the congregation is very rewarding.
