Gifts For God 2010
Channelkirk and Lauder’s Gifts for God 2010 campaign is now at an end! Following a week’s exhibition of the Church’s work in June, we had two very successful evenings of fellowship. For those who could not be there, this was a time spent laughing, singing and eating, looking at the exhibition showing different facets of Church life, and listening to talks about the past and the future.
We received over one hundred letters and cards of encouragement. Many people have expressed a wish to do more for the Church - e.g. helping with church coffees and teas, flower arranging and praise group. The feedback we have received is that this should not be a one off event. Similar events that bring people together from the whole community would be welcomed. There was also a wish to be informed more regularly about our giving totals, and to see how the money is being used.
People have really engaged with Gifts for God 2010, and there has been a tremendous response. So thank you again to all who helped in any way. We have all grown in knowledge and fellowship and the profile of the Church and its people in Lauderdale has been raised as a result.
