1] Tea/Coffee: Enjoy fellowship in Channelkirk and Lauder Churches after every service!
2] Gifts for God 2010 Dates for your Diary:  
a] Joint Communion Service on 30th May: There will be no service in Lauder on Sunday 30th May.  A joint Communion Service will be held in Channelkirk at 10am. The service will be led by the Rev. Alistair Bennett who will be accompanied by Mr Willard Bandula and Mrs Jean Machinjili from Malawi. The service will be followed by tea and coffee in the War Memorial Hall, Oxton, where the Gifts for God Stewardship Programme and exhibition will be launched. The exhibition will be open from 11am – 5pm. If you would like transport to Channelkirk,  please speak to Graeme Donald.   
Note to Sunday Club and Double Numbers on 30th May:  This will be held in Oxton Memorial Hall that day for the duration of the entire service.  Please drop your young off on your way to Channelkirk.  Afterwards, the young  people hope to put on brief entertainment for all who come for refreshments.
b] Exhibition on Tuesday 1st, Thursday 3rd June and Saturday 5th June: The exhibition is available to view in the Public Hall between 10am - 1pm and 2pm – 4pm on Tuesday and Thursday and between 10am and 12 noon on Saturday.  Tea and coffee are available.
c] Congregational Meals on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th June: Family Meals, Lauder Public Hall.  The exhibition is in the Hall to view from 6pm both evenings to give time to chat before the meal is served at 7pm.  There are fun activities for the children and entertainment after the meal.  This is followed by a short presentation about how your Church works, where the money comes from and where it goes.  We’ll be asked to review our financial giving and overall commitment to Christ.
Additional  Note re. Congregational Meals:  If you know of any person who actively supports our church, for example by attending services or through the Gift Aid envelope, but might not be a member of the church, who would like an invitation to the Congregational Meal in June, please let the Stewardship Convener, Billy Anderson know.  Contact:  01578 722848 or 07901932612.
d] Thanksgiving Service on 4th July: Pray for this participatory approach, involving all our activities and generating greater enthusiasm.
3] Kirk Session:  The Kirk Session will meet on Thursday 18th May at 7pm in the Church Centre to discuss same-sex relationships and the ministry.
4] Congregational Board:  The Congregational Board will meet in the Church Centre at 7pm on Tuesday 25th May.
5] Lauder Sunday Club Picnic:  Big thanks goes to Judi for hosting this year's first Sunday Club picnic.   Much fun was had by all.  We are now planning the next picnic (!) which will be in June at Yellowcraigs. More details will follow so watch this space!
6]  Lauder Recorded Services: To acquire CDs, please call Judi Gunn: 01896 860369.
7] Gift Aid: Get information about Gift Aid from Linda Kirby-Organ:722540.
8] Arts & Crafts Group:  Group members offer a warm welcome Thursday mornings to any interested. Non-judgmental help given.  Call Hanna: 722900.
9] House Groups: 59, Brownsmuir Park: meets alternate Mondays at 7pm; Oxton  (at 22, Justice Park) 7.30pm, and 40, Thirlestane Drive, Lauder 7.30pm also. All are welcome!
10] Knitting & Knattering: Mondays, 12.45 - 2.45 pm. We will knit now: up to 2nd July.
11] Prayers in Lauder Church: Thursdays, 13:00-14:00.  All are welcome, and do not feel obliged to stay for the full hour.
12] Used Stamps: They are recycled for Guild funds! Please leave, untrimmed, at the door.
